In early 20th-century Britain, the rising suffragette movement transforms the life of Maud Watts, a working wife and mother. Inspired by political activist Emmeline Pankhurst, Maud joins a diverse group of women fighting for equality and the right to vote.

As part of the 36th Oxford International Women’s Festival, this special International Women’s Day screening of Sarah Gavron’s historical drama will feature a short introduction by Dr. Katherine Bradley, followed by a Q&A discussion.
